And I don't mean in a ‘Jesus is my rock’ way, because that totally would make sense, but no, in a ‘here's a little piece of dirty rock, it looks quite okay, why the hell don't you give up your whole life for it?’ way. Tempting.

I know a horde of cats is spinsters' thing, but I realized since I'm not that big on cats, why can't I have lots of puppies instead. See also 12-y-o me.

No, I don't have a boyfriend however I politely inform you that I'm a wild, spiky sea-monsterish creature that will eat you alive if you didn't 't leave immediately. Thank you for your understanding.

No, I don't believe every couple get together like this! There is true love, yes. Just like unicorns. Or timelords. Or typographically correct newspapers. Shut up, I'm dreaming!

My entries 4 Sandra and Woo Fanart Contest 2013

Okay, I'm not starting from the beginning of time and everything, if you don't know what I'm talking about, go check out last year's one.

That gave me like a ton of new visitors (well, it's a popular webcomic with fans of excellent taste...), so it wasn't a question that I'd attend this year too. I decided to submit two kinds of drawings again: one that represents my work, and one that... well, make people think that I can actually draw. Here they are: (note that to fully enjoy the first one, you should know a bit about Larisa...)

(click on the pictures for bigger size)

UPDATE: I made it to the posted submissions with the “cool” one. And I'm quoting: “Eliza submitted one of the funniest drawings of the contest.” Shall I add anything? :D

Cos that's what good christian girls do at the age of 26. Not sitting on their just a tiny bit bigger than normal butts, surrounded by cats drinking a cup of chinese tea and reading about calligraphic impacts on the early 1950s letterforms.

Invitation. To love.

So I decided not to continue my 365 Illustration Project the way I did it (my other option was to scratch out sleeping from my daily schedule). But I still feel the need of doing something similar, and sometimes, only sometimes, even doing it similarly to the “good old days”. Now I'll show you some of these (don't mock the topics. I'm still an isolated freakish spinster, so what.)

Until the next episode of “fragments from my sketchbook”,

yours sincerely

You know the feeling when you say “If only it was my idea!” But it's not, and it's so tempting not to inform others about it… but you simply can't.

That's exactly the case with today's dailydrawing. The original idea of the whole scene – waiting in some moderately nice dress for the fictional man of your dreams, with a ton of cupcakes and a huge welcome-banner – well, I have to admit, it is not my invention. Applause for the – I think brilliant – artwork of “Stay for Lunch?” (yhea, that's a name):

Still, you know... Darcy is way too mainstream.
