One of my favourite webcomics I regularly check out is Sandra and Woo. It is funny, witty, and well, it's starring a talking racoon, which is, let's be honest, kinda guarantees something cool and awesome. And if you've ever wondered who's to blame for my pony-related posts, well, noone else, but the author of this comic who's been nice enough to let their fans know how amazing My Little Pony – Friendship Is Magic is. But for those of you who prefer German to English, I have good news as well: es gibt auf Deutsch auch (and even with these few german words I've proven which version do I prefer…)

 So when they announced a fanart contest, it was pretty obvious that I'm applying. And I decided to do it my way. If you read the story from the beginning (and you really should, because it's much more fun that way), you'll find a strip when Sandra (the little girl who's the owner of Woo, the racoon) finds out about her pet's “hidden talent”. I thought it'd be funny to imagine a similar situation in my room, in my 365IP world. 

So that is briefly the story of today's irregular daily-drawing.

Are you wondering who might be this girl next to me? She's Anna, my classmate. A few weeks ago I've told you how my friend Eszti heroically provided half the school's typography textbook (of which event I've even did a drawing once). In case I've missed to mention, the author of The Book is called Péter Virágvölgyi, for which reason most people call it “the Virágvölgyi book” – although I'm more than convinced that my name for it is much better. So you remember how I always say one cannot read it without becoming at least a bit typofreak? Well, gotcha, Anna! It's proven! Ha!

Followerdrawing #14 goes to Szilvi, one of my classmates. One of those who has a great tendency to think of morbid stuff. Not that it's a rare thing in our class, but she's outstanding in at least one other thing as well: having an extraordinary love towards dogs. And when these two come together, well, the results you can check out on her portfolio page. 

But as for typography, seems like her philosophy is “Everything has its limits” and as for freakness it's typography where man should say “stop”. Though you might remember when I said that one cannot read The Book without getting at least a bit typofreak, and though you might remember the drawing about Eszti carrying 4 of them (which were actually for my classmates, including Szilvi), but, well, seems like the magic is not working in this case. Well. Can't everyone be isolated freak!

When I started this whole “follow me and I'll reward you” thing (in other words when I started cheating) I only thought of it as a good way to motivate my friends. But that people I don't even know will start to follow me this soon – I didn't hope for that! :)

The 9th follower of my site is Zita, alias “Mangóó”, who I had not the opportunity to know personally – until now. But thanks to Vikky, she got to know me and Entrustedproperty, and she thought it's worth following. Well, I'm really thankful for that – to her and Vikky too –, but how to draw a personalized drawing now? Well thanks to Vikky's detailed description about her, it wasn't a problem. When I've read it, I just knew what should I draw.

Do you remember the rightly popular Spinster Club? Well apparently not spinsters are the only group that must face isolation. But who cares until we have our little freak-clubs, right?

It has been said though, that maybe it's not representing the people in this picture well enough. It has been said, that it's too feminine, as much that the gentleman on the right look like a “typo-gay”. Though I just can't understand why in the world do people assume it, it is not right to do so. Another picture must have been made, a more masculine one. So here you go:

“… Titles of course can be written only using capital letters. There are certain typefaces though, which are unsuitable for this form of use, since they're illegible that way, so it is highly prohibited. These are the gothic typefaces…”

Remember the famous sentence from Black Cat, White Cat: “This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” I'll spend a little time on it, because after this significant day you gonna see “The Book” in several drawings.

Hungarian typographers and simple typofreaks agree two things about it:
#1 its cover is bad as can be
#2 this is The Ultimate Textbook about typography.

It is as true that anyone who has not read it, face a shameful exclusion from typographer society, and even graphic artists who do not at least nod approvingly when mentioned, are considered lame amateurs. Indeed, this book is the best Hungarian book ever written on typography, even if it's more than 10 years old. Also, it is so well edited, that noone can put it down without becoming at least a little bit typofreak. This truth is so well proven, that even you, who follow my blog, will be conviced about it after seeing all my February and March dailydrawings.
