No, but seriously. At first you are like haha, that's funny, let's listen to it, because it is soo 1980s but asian (plus – or rather therefore – adorable as hell), and ‘that is so ironic’, but then you listen to it for the second time, because it's still funny, and then you listen to it for the third time, because you still feel the need to give it another go purely in the name of irony of course, and then you won't stop listening to it.
Like ever.
I won't lie, it sort of sneakily grows on you. You're especially endangered when you are tired and fed up with everything. Seriously, give it a try, you will see… Right? Right?… Are you listening?… Feeling it?… How about now?… Now?… It will grow on you… Any minute now… How about now?…

Don't you find that most lyrics are just dumb and the rest are trying hard to be veeeery clever? Annoying, isn't it.

No but seriously. Don't you find it annoying when you hear couples singing passionately ‘Someone Like You’ to each other with tenderness in their eyes? (By the way, can we agree please that Adele is king master at this whole love-suffering business?) Girls holding close to their guy while asking them whith the most lovingly smile ‘Who do you think you are’? Boys dancing with their beloved to the fine tunes of ‘All By Myself’?
This is just – and I'm talking on belhalf of all single ones – not right. All this being-dramatic-dying-of-love-spectacularly-and-using-the-word-heartbreak-even-ten-times-in-a-sentence-if-we-please thing is ours. Ours and ours only.
I call all single people out there to unite! We should defend sad lovesongs! They are our monopoly to sing! Our monopoly to enjoy!
I go get the T-shirts and flags.

Very devoted followers might remember the drawing from January in which I'm doing the thing I am best at: whining pathetically over my present state while being wrapped in a warm blanket and eating Nutella. That day the subject of my whining was mainly that I'm not in Miami, and the horridness of it was mainly caused – besides the freezing -25 ºC and disappointingly grey lanscapes – by two young gentlemen called Rich Chwastiak and Tristan Clopêt. The former you already know – or if not, I'm really disappointed, unless you're new here, and in this case check out this post –, but the latter still needs a proper introduction.
Later I found out that he did a lot other covers as well – just as good as it is –, and they are all his interpretations, not just some lame “let's play it cause it's popular” kind of imitations. He takes the songs and makes them completely his, while still being respectful towards the original ones. You might say, if he's so good, and he really does have an own style, then why does he waste his time with covers instead of making an own album with his own songs. Well, I have good news: he does that as well. He wrote some pretty good songs and recorded them with his band called Tristan Clopêt and The Juice. You can listen to them for free on his myspace page.
So on January 26th I was depressed not to be able to go to a concert of two extremely nice guys, who now I'm fortunate enough to call my friends. But as spring arrived in Hungary, and Tristan decided to move from Miami to New York City – the same place where Rich lives, and this has certain advantages even for fans living far away –, all of a sudden, well, Miami lost all its charm for me.

So yes. Rich Chwastiak AKA “the WIG” is following my blog! Old followers of my 365IP know who I'm talking about, but knowing that a lot of people just joined I take some time to speak about him.
For his friendship I can thank Tristan Clopet and his youtube channel which I've found accidentally. Rich plays in his band called Tristan Clopet and the Juice, and that's briefly how I became aquinted with him.
But he's not only playing in TC&J, but in fact, he's a professional percussionist, who graduated at the New England Conservatory a year ago. Cool, huh? :) And – besides being a traditional percussionist (btw, the thing you can see on my drawing worth a watch too) – he's also an internationally touring NY-based DJ and electro-percussionist with the name “the WIG” (and if you think of his original name, you can understand…)
During this half year since I know him, I've done him a lot of drawings and stuff which you can check out on his FB-fanpage, youtube channel, and soundcloud page as well, but you can find some in my behance portfolio too.
So... yeah. I have a famous celebrity follower! What do you say about that?! :D
